Abstract

The article is dedicated to the study of criminal law measures other than punishment under the criminal law of the Kingdom of Norway. The fact that scientific understanding of foreign criminal law gives the opportunity to understand better national criminal law, thus it is obvious that the advantages and disadvantages of the last are most clearly visible when comparing it with foreign legislations. In conclusion, the author states that the criminal legislation of the Kingdom of Norway since 22 of May 1902 defines criminal law measures as legal consequences of a criminal offence, which were designed due to the national model of criminal influence on crime and intended at achieving the criminal policy goals, of the represent country of the Scandinavian Peninsula.
