Applying the Interactive Worldwall Platform into the Chemistry Education of the New Ukrainian School

Modern educational trends require the integration of digital technologies into the educational process, which ensures its increased efficiency and compliance with the needs of a new generation of students. Interactive platforms, such as Wordwall, open up wide opportunities for diversifying teaching forms and methods, especially in the field of natural sciences. To increase students' interest in studying chemistry, a series of interactive exercises has been developed that cover the main topics of the 9th grade chemistry course of the New Ukrainian School: we investigate the solubility of substances and solutions, chemical reactions in solutions, organic substances, summarize the results of educational activities, in particular, we form relationships between classes of inorganic and organic compounds. The advantages of using the Wordwall platform in the educational process have been identified: versatility, the ability to adapt tasks to the individual needs of students, interactivity and accessibility. The developed tasks have been tested by students of 9th grades of pilot schools in Ukraine. The study showed that the Wordwall platform is an effective tool for modernizing the educational process when studying chemistry. Its use makes lessons more interesting and effective, contributes to improving the quality of learning and the development of key student competencies.
Using Wordwall contributes to the development of digital student competencies, such as information search, data analysis and collaboration in an online environment; provides equal access to educational materials regardless of the location of students. Tasks can be completed both in the classroom and at home, which is especially important in the context of quarantine restrictions or distance learning.
The concept of the New Ukrainian School emphasizes a competency-based approach to learning, the integration of digital technologies and ensuring an individual approach to each student. It is shown that Wordwall meets these requirements, allowing the implementation of the key tasks of the NUS in teaching chemistry
