Brief but up-do-date material is arranged from the notes, unfortunately, of the already deceased author, who during his lifetime could not summarize in a single publication the stages of life and work of one of the most famous figures of Halych - Hedeon Balaban. The essay touches on the most general pages of the bishop’s origin, as well as the monuments of material culture, including books that belonged to him during his ministry in Halych.
