Public-political activity of the ukrainian dissident Yaroslav Lesiv

Abstract

The article contains biogram and clarifies the main milestones of public and political activities of Yaroslav Lesiv. The authors focus on the factors shaping his national worldview, participation in the activities of the illegal organization Ukrainian National Front, in the Ukrainian human rights movement. The all-Ukrainian character of Lesiv’s behavior as a public figure and priest in the struggle for the legalization of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and for the independence of Ukraine has been clarified.
