Implementation of the principles of the European Charter of Local Self-Government in the context of decentralization of power

Abstract

The article analyzes the principles of the European Charter of Local Self-Government in terms of their implementation in the domestic system of local self-government, clarifying the importance and necessity of implementing the principles of the Charter. Problems have arisen due to the lack of compliance with the Charter in domestic law. Ways to implement the principles of the European Charter of Local Self-Government in reforming local self-government are proposed.
