Professional self-determination of pedagogical faculty students: essence and structure of the concept

Abstract

The article states that the most important criterion of awareness and productivity of professional development of a person is its ability to find a special meaning in professional work, to independently design, create their professional life, to make responsible decisions about the choice of profession, specialty and place of work. These problems are faced by the person throughout his life.
Before a person all the time there are problems requiring from her definition of their attitude to the profession, sometimes the analysis and reflection of their own professional achievements, the adoption of decisions on the choice of profession or its replacement. This complex of problems in professional science is explained by the concept of professional self-determination. It is worth paying attention that professional self-determination takes place throughout the life of a person, in particular during professional training.
The diversity of different conceptual approaches to addressing the problem of professional self-determination, including the teacher, is caused not only by the complexity of the issue, but also by the cultural and historical conditionality of self-determination by the majority of people living in different parts of settlements, as well as heterogeneity of the population of specific countries and regions.
