Aim and Scope of the Journal
The scientific journal “Mountain School of the Ukrainian Carpaty” (hereinafter – the Journal) aims to present research results and disseminate knowledge on key aspects of human capital development, education, pedagogy, and social sciences in order to advance and improve Ukrainian science. The Journal publishes theoretical and experimental-applied research articles addressing current issues in the theory and history of pedagogy, philosophy of education, educational management, preschool education, secondary education (by subject specializations), vocational education (by specializations), special education (by specializations), physical culture and sports, social work and social pedagogy, methods and technologies of teaching, upbringing, and career guidance in mountain schools and extracurricular institutions, psychological and pedagogical issues of student development, professional training and development of future teachers, continuing pedagogical education, teaching practice, comparative pedagogy, and higher education pedagogy, among others. Particular attention is given to the issues of mountain schools. The Journal is intended for researchers, educators, higher education students, teaching staff of mountain schools in Ukraine and abroad, parents, and all those interested in the development of contemporary pedagogical science.

Journal History:
The Journal has been published by Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University since 2006. The journal was initiated by the well-known scholar, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor V. D. Khrushch, then Head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Primary Education, who in 2006 launched the international project “Mountain School: State, Problems, and Development Prospects”. Active participants of the project include scholars and practicing teachers from the USA, Slovakia, Poland, and other countries.
In 2008, the project received a silver medal and a certificate from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Presidium of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine at the International Exhibition “Innovation in Education.” In the same year, the International Association for Mountain Research (Bern, Switzerland) recognized its participants as experts in global changes in mountain regions.

It focuses on comprehensive coverage of current trends in pedagogical science, education, and modern approaches to content, forms, methods, and technologies of educational and upbringing processes at all levels—from preschool to higher education.
