Abstract

Continuous solid solutions in films of the cobalt-copper system in the entire concentration range of alloy compositions were obtained using the method of modernized three-electrode ion-plasma sputtering. The dependencies of the crystal lattice periods on the alloying element were constructed. A hypothetical stratification dome for a liquid homogeneous state and a criterion for predicting the formation of solid solutions based on the first ionization potentials of the elements were proposed.
