Abstract

This article analyzed all aspects of the activity of President Vaclav Havel, the experience of the formation of a new state, the formation of its foreign policy , the establishment of an independent policy, the vectors of its activity in the international political arena. How directly the head of state affects on the formation
of the position and strategy of the state in the international political environment. Particular attention is paid to the study of his political career as the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech state.
