The article deals with theoretical analysis of the psychological structure of volunteer activity. Volunteer activities are considered as the result of creative self-development, self-improvement; as a form of civic participation in socially useful affairs, a way of collective interaction and an effective mechanism for solving actual social problems; as voluntary, unconditional, disinterested, charitable activity, which is based on the desire to help another. Volunteer activities include such components of the psychological structure as cognitive, motivational, emotional-forceful, value and behavioural.
