Abstract

The article analyzes the social and psychological factors of happiness at the individual and social levels in general, and in Ukrainian society in particular. Human happiness is rightly considered not only personal but also social value. The study of this phenomenon is especially relevant for Ukraine, as military actions in the East, growing suicidal sentiment of the population, the flow of manipulative influences through the media, the spread of nihilism among young people, and many other unhealthy tendencies in society testify to the state of mass psychological distress. And every person’s happiness becomes the basis of the national security of the country. Seven important factors of happiness of modern Ukrainians are singled out. This is a person’s health, age, family and relationships, level of material well-being, level of education, job satisfaction and the possibility of further self-realization. It also reflects the phenomenon of family happiness as an important factor in a person’s psychological well-being. Satisfaction with family relationships and intimate life is the most significant stable factor of happiness. In the traditional culture of the Ukrainian people, the intimate life of the family, the sexuality of man and woman played a minor role. In the context of the problem of family happiness, the authors consider the issue of personality sexuality as its important component. Human sexuality is not just a biological instinct, but a complex biophysiological and psychosocial and cultural phenomenon, an important sphere of social, family and personal life. In the twentieth century. European culture has recognized the physiological, social and psychological value of sexuality, the human right to sensual pleasure, without which neither her creative activity nor happy love is possible. Therefore, sexuality is an important element of the culture of society and is subject to the same patterns of development. Negative tendencies in the field of sexuality do not contribute to the development of the felycitological function (function of «happiness») of the Ukrainian family. The socio-psychological nature of the phenomenon of «happiness» is to ensure the function of family happiness, social well-being and psychological health of Ukrainian citizens.
