The article explores the transformational processes in the financial support of charitable organizations in Ukraine under the conditions of full-scale war. The research focuses on the challenges faced by the nonprofit sector and the innovative approaches to mobilizing financial resources in times of crisis. Particular attention is given to the changes in the structure of income sources, the transparency of fund usage, and the increasing importance of partnerships. The study also identifies new risks arising from martial law and the resulting economic instability.
The aim of the study is to identify key trends and mechanisms of financing charitable organizations that ensure their resilience, efficiency, and adaptability in the new socio-economic reality.
The research methodology combines general scientific and specific methods, including: analysis and synthesis for systematizing sources of funding for charitable organizations; a structural-functional approach to assessing the role of individual fundraising tools; comparative legal analysis to contrast national and foreign models of financing philanthropic activity; and content analysis to evaluate regulatory changes and donor policy priorities.
The results demonstrate that the war has become a powerful catalyst for change in the charity sector, encouraging digitalization, the growth of crowdfunding, the spread of matched funding instruments, and the development of social investment strategies. The study reveals that charitable organizations in Ukraine display a high level of adaptability, activating partnerships, improving financial reporting, and introducing new technologies for resource mobilization.
The scientific novelty of the article lies in the comprehensive understanding of financial innovations in the nonprofit sector as a prerequisite for strengthening the institutional capacity and sustainability of charitable organizations in wartime conditions.
The practical significance of the findings consists in summarizing up-to-date financing approaches that can be applied to increase the effectiveness of charitable activities, improve grant strategies, and inform regulatory changes in the field of public-private partnerships in social policy.
