Autor Guidelines
- General Information
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal’s online submission system:

The journal publishes articles devoted to the study of children's literature as an artistic-aesthetic and socio-cultural phenomenon, the analysis of texts addressed to young readers and the contexts of their functioning, taking into account interdisciplinary perspectives. The attention is also given to the children's book as a product of publishing activity, a verbal and visual embodiment of the author’s intention, and an object of reader interaction.
The journal accepts manuscripts in Ukrainian and English.
- Manuscript Structure
The manuscript must follow the standard scientific structure:
- UDC
- Title (in Ukrainian and English)
- Authors (full names) and affiliations, ORCID, E-mail (in Ukrainian and English)
- Abstract in English (no less than 1800 characters)
- Keywords in English (up to 10)
- Structural elements of the manuscript depend on the type of the submitted manuscript
Theoretical and Research articles: Introduction. Theoretical framework / literature review. Research objective. Methodology and data. Results and discussion. Conclusions.
Review articles: Introduction. Review and analysis of texts or books for children. Discussion and generalization of the main provisions. Conclusions.
Reviews of books devoted to scientific research of children’s literature: Abstract (250 words). Introduction. Main part. Conclusions.
- List of sources used and References for articles submitted in Ukrainian or only References for articles submitted in English
- Abstract in Ukrainian (not less than 1800 characters)
- Keywords in Ukrainian (up to 10)
- Acknowledgements (if applicable)
- Funding information (if applicable)
- Conflict of Interest statement
- Data Availability Statement (where applicable)
The title should be concise and reflect the scientific content.
The article must be accompanied by an abstract of at least 1,800 characters in English and Ukrainian. The abstract should be concise and informative, providing a clear and objective overview of the main content of the article. It must not include results that are not presented or substantiated in the main body of the paper. The abstract should not contain abbreviations or quotations. It should state the purpose of the study, briefly describe the author’s contribution to addressing the research problem, outline the scientific novelty and practical significance of the findings, and summarize the main conclusions of the study.
The recommended length is:
- up to 10–20 pages for theoretical and research articles;
- up to 25 pages for review articles;
- up to 10 pages for reviews of books devoted to scientific research of children’s literature
- Formatting Requirements
No specific formatting template is required at the submission stage.
The editorial office performs professional typesetting after acceptance.
Authors are requested to:
- use clear scientific language;
- use SI units;
- ensure equations are editable (MS Equation Editor);
- submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
4. Figures and Tables
Figures must be of high quality:
- minimum 300 dpi for photographs;
- accepted format: JPG.
All figures and tables must be clearly cited in the text.
Figures must be readable and must not contain excessively small fonts.
The Figure number and title should be placed below the Figure (in bold, centered). The Table title should be placed above the Table (in bold, centered), with the Table number indicated in the upper right corner. The Source should be provided below both the Figure and the Table.
- Citations and References
- The citation is made with the help of an in-text reference in round brackets, in which the surname of the author or authors is indicated (in the order of their list in the publication), followed by the year of the publication of the source; page or paragraph numbers for direct quotation and for paraphrasing where appropriate. For example: (Marchenko, 2024, p.14); …as Marchenko notes (2014, p. 14); (Hunt, 2017, pp. 111 – 112) or (Kachak, 2024); if more authors – (Taylor et al., 2018).
- The list of sources and References is presented in alphabetical order and in accordance with the requirements of the international bibliographic standard APA (According to the seventh edition (2020)). The list of sources (References) should be used according to APA requirements. There must be indicated the author(s), year, title and source of the cited work in alphabetical order. If a reference is not cited in the text, it should not be included in the reference list. If the source has a DOI (digital object identifier) or online access, it should be given in the following format: https://doi.org/10.32782/2522-4077-2024-209-23 or URL-address.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of references.
- Ethical and Editorial Requirements
By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:
- the manuscript has not been previously published in a peer-reviewed journal;
- the manuscript is not under consideration by another journal;
- all authors meet authorship criteria and have approved the submission;
- any conflicts of interest have been properly disclosed;
- sources of funding have been indicated;
- a Data Availability Statement is included (where applicable);
- any use of artificial intelligence tools is transparently disclosed;
- if the manuscript has been posted as a preprint, this has been declared.
The journal adheres to the principles of COPE Core Practices in addressing ethical issues.
- Suggested Reviewers
Authors may suggest up to two potential reviewers, including their affiliation and institutional email address. The final selection of reviewers is made by the editorial board.
