Autor Guidelines

The journal publishes articles devoted to the study of children's literature as an artistic-aesthetic and socio-cultural phenomenon, the analysis of texts addressed to young readers and the contexts of their functioning, taking into account interdisciplinary perspectives. The attention is also given to children's book as a product of publishing activity.

  1. The submitted manuscript is considered for publication if it represents topical and significant scientific problems, written in Ukrainian and English and has not previously been published (and not submitted to other journals). The recommended volume of the manuscript is 4000 – 7000 words, book reviews - up to 3,000 words.
  2. The manuscript is prepared in A4 format (Microsoft Word). Font - Times New Roman, size - 14, line spacing -1.0, paragraph indentation - 1 cm. Fields: top, bottom, right, left 20 mm. Fields according to the journal template (see docx template, in which the article must be submitted).

Below - at one interval - the title of the manuscript (in bold letters in the center, size - 14) in Ukrainian and English (for articles in Ukrainian), in English and Ukrainian (for articles in English).

Below - at one interval - the last name, first name of the author (authors), size - 14.

Below - at one interval - the name of the author’s institution.

Below - at one interval - the author’s ОRCID.

Below - at one interval - the manuscript as follows:

- abstract in English (size – 12);

- keywords in English (size – 12);

- structural elements of the manuscript depend on the type of the submitted manuscript (size - 14), for example:

Theoretical and Research articles: Introduction. Theoretical framework / literature review. Research objective. Methodology and data. Results and discussion. Conclusions.

Review articles: Introduction. Review and analysis of texts or books for children. Discussion and generalization of the main provisions. Conclusions.

Reviews of books devoted to scientific research of children’s literature: Abstract (250 words). Introduction. Main part. Conclusion.

 - after the main text of the manuscript at one interval - a list of sources (References);

- below - at one interval - the name and surname of the author (authors), degree, academic title, position, full name of the institution, city, country (in English);

- ORCID ID;

- E-mail of the authors;

- below - at one interval - name and surname of the author (authors), scientific degree, academic title, position, full name of the institution, city, country (in Ukrainian);

- below - after one interval:

- Surname and first name of the author, the title of the article (in Ukrainian);

- abstract (in Ukrainian);

- keywords (in Ukrainian).

  1. The citation is made with the help of an in-text reference in round brackets, in which the surname of the author or authors is indicated (in the order of their list in the publication), followed by the year of the publication of the source; page or paragraph numbers for direct quotation and for paraphrasing where appropriate. For example: (Marchenko, 2024, p.14); …as Marchenko notes (2014, p. 14); (Hunt, 2017, pp. 111 – 112) or (Kachak, 2024); if more authors – (Taylor et al., 2018).
  2. The list of sources and References is presented in alphabetical order and in accordance with the requirements of the international bibliographic standard APA (According to the seventh edition (2020)). The list of sources (References) should be used according to APA requirements. There must be indicated the author(s), year, title and source of the cited work in alphabetical order. If a reference is not cited in the text, it should not be included in the reference list. If the source has a DOI (digital object identifier) ​​or online access, it should be given in the following format: https://doi.org/10.32782/2522-4077-2024-209-23 or URL-address.
  3. The article must be accompanied by an abstract of at least 1800 characters in English and Ukrainian. The abstract should be concise and meaningful, giving a clear and objective idea of the main essence of the article. The abstract cannot contain results that are not presented and are not substantiated in the body of the article. The abstract should not contain abbreviations and quotations. It should state the purpose of the article, briefly describe the author's contribution to the solution of the investigated problem, determine the scientific novelty and practical significance of the obtained results, and summarize the main conclusions of the conducted research.
  4. The name and number of the Figure are indicated below the Figure (bold letters in the center). The name of the Table is above the Table (in bold letters in the center), the number in the right-hand corner. The source should be provided after the Figure and Table. Illustrative material (graphs, charts, figures and tables) should be made available in programs for further editing: tables - in the Microsoft Word; charts - in Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Graph editor; figures - in the form of organizational charts using the drawing panel Microsoft Word editor.
  5. The manuscript prepared under the requirements should be uploaded to the journal’s website and sent to an e-mail address tetiana.kachak@pnu.edu.ua  with the subject of the letter: “Children’s literature:  interdisciplinary discourse”, Author’s Name.
