About the Journal
The scientific, cultural and educational local history journal "Halychyna" has been published in Ivano-Frankivsk since 1997. The appearance of this edition was a continuation of the long tradition of historical research of the lands and regions of Ukraine, at the sources of which were prominent Ukrainian scientists Mykhailo Hrushevskyi, Ivan Franko, Volodymyr Hnatiuk, Ivan Krypyakevich, and others. The program goals of the publication are to reproduce an objective picture of the historical past of the region, to acquaint the public with the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people, and to analyze the social and political situation in modern Ukraine.
