Abstract

The article describes the work of the first military-diplomatic missions of the Entente countries in late 1918 – early 1919, the position of the ZUNR and Poland and the recommendations of the Entente delegation regarding the normalization of the Ukrainian-Polish military conflict.

The urgency of the problem is due to the fact that international delegations play an important role in the modern history of Ukraine in resolving various issues and the nature of Ukrainian issues. The first experience of organizing official international meetings and negotiations, as well as participation in them, which took place during the time of the Polish-Ukrainian war of 19181919. The process of state building and the result of international support often depended on the results of these delegations and the internal political situation in Ukraine.

The scientific novelty is that in the article, based on the fundamental works of Ukrainian and Polish historiography, the actual material on the negotiations between the ZUNR, Poland and the first peacekeeping delegations of the Entente countries, as well as the termination of the Polish-Ukrainian confrontation, is elaborated and summarized.

The object of the work is the military-diplomatic missions of the Entente countries and authorized by the ZUNR and Poland during the negotiations in 19181919.

The subject of the publication is the work of the first Entente missions to resolve the Polish-Ukrainian armed confrontation in Eastern Galicia, the position of the Polish and Ukrainian sides, the nature and content of the talks.

The purpose of the study is to show the starting points of the three parties, their relation to each other and the results of the negotiations.

The task of the article is to clearly track the process of negotiation process between the interested parties at the first stage of the Polish-Ukrainian conflict
