Complaints Procedure

The editorial board of the journal “Mountain School of Ukrainian Carpaty” responds to all complaints promptly and constructively, examines each specific case in accordance with its nature and complexity, and takes into account the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when reaching a decision.

Suggestions or complaints should be sent to the editor-in-chief’s email address: halyna.bilavych@cnu.edu.ua. All communications will be reviewed within 30 working days. However, depending on the complexity of the complaint, the complainant will be notified if additional time is required to complete the investigation.

The complaint should be concise, specific and contain sufficient evidence to demonstrate any possible breach of publication ethics. Where possible, additional supporting documents should also be provided to substantiate the specific claim.

Personal complaints against authors, editors, reviewers or the journal’s editorial board must be responded to, stating the reasons why the complaint has been deemed to fall outside the journal’s remit. Furthermore, the journal will refrain from conducting an investigation if complaints are submitted in an offensive, threatening or defamatory manner.
