Research Data Deposition Policy

The journal “Mountain School of the Ukrainian Carpaty” supports the principles of open science and promotes transparency and reproducibility of research results through the responsible sharing of research data.
Authors are encouraged to deposit the data underlying their published results in recognized international or disciplinary repositories.

Repository Selection
The journal:

  • supports the use of international and national repositories registered in re3data (https://www.re3data.org/);
  • does not restrict authors in choosing a specific repository, allowing the use of disciplinary, institutional, or general-purpose repositories that comply with FAIR principles;
  • recommends assigning persistent identifiers (e.g., DOI) to datasets.

Data Availability Statement
Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript indicating:

  • where the data are stored;
  • the conditions of access;
  • any restrictions on access.

Providing active links to deposited datasets in the article text or metadata is strongly recommended.

Data Verification
Where necessary, the editorial office may request access to primary research data during peer review or editorial evaluation in order to verify the validity and accuracy of the reported results.
Such requests are made in compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.

Access Restrictions
The journal recognizes that in certain cases (legal, ethical, confidentiality, commercial, or security constraints), full data sharing may not be possible.
In such cases, authors must provide a justified explanation in the Data Availability Statement.

Institutional Repository
If needed, the editorial office may recommend using the institutional research data repository of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University: https://dataset.pnu.edu.ua/
