Abstract

The influence of Christianity on the state forming idea in Ukraine especially in Kievan Rus’ is analyzed in the article. The content of Christian ideology not only as an ideological and spiritually cultural norm but as a legal norm which provided the penetration of the humanistic ideas, morality and social justice into philosophical and legal thought of the Ukrainians is defined. The determinative influence of Christianity as the ideological source of Ukrainian state and law is justified at the example of the analysis of Old Rus’ philosophical and legal sources
