Abstract

The influence of church in general and specifically Christianity on the formation of civil society principles is revealed in the article. Correlation of religion and law, their transformation and influence on social processes in the country are defined. On the basis of analysis of processes of civil society formation in the
countries of Central and Eastern Europe the author proposes his own view on their introduction in a modern Ukrainian society. The important role of church institutions in this process is emphasized.
