The issue of Peace in the Catholic Social Doctrine

Abstract

The churches’ interest in preservation of peace was caused by exacerbation of contradictions in contemporary society. The catholic conception of true peace consists in observance of the Ten Commandments, concord of politics and morals and evolutionary resolution of contradictions. The Pope John XXIII’s views have
made a great influence on forming of the conception of positive peace of the Scandinavian critical school of peace study.
