Abstract

The article systematizes and critically comprehends the use of PR tools in local selfgovernments of Ivano-Frankivsk region. The content of the concept of local
selfgovernment in the legislation of Ukraine is clarified. The use of PR tools is analyzed on the example of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council, Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, rayon and village councils, as well as newly created within the decentralization reform the united territorial communities. It is concluded that there is a positive dynamics of the use of public relations tools in local governments as a form of modern democratic process.
