Local elections - 2020 in the context of decentralization of power: challenges for local self-government

Abstract

The article analyzes main issues of decentralization reform with electoral reform in the context of local elections 2020 and analyzes all challenges for local self-government and the influence of political parties on the electoral process. Decentralization reform at the basic level completed local elections, but not started them. One of the stages is also ending now and it should end with elections. Hereconsidered a number of problems that change and correct the initial script of local self-government reform and territorial organization of government in real time.
