В статті висвітлюються теоретичні засади дослідження життєвого циклу підприємства, можливості використання даної концепції для вирішення сучасних завдань розвитку. Розглянуто детермінанти переходу підприємства із одного етапу на інший, що дозволяє краще зрозуміти умови його функціонування та ідентифікувати чинники, що впливають на життєздатність підприємства та тривалість етапів ЖЦО. Запропоновано технології управління на різних етапах ЖЦО.
