Using the comparative method, the author reconstructed the chronology and circumstances of staying in Halych of one of the greatest Christian relics – the fragment of the True Cross, which is known today as the Cross of the Emperor Manuel which was exhibited among the relics of Notre Dame in the capital of France. Agreeing with the findings of his Polish and Russian colleagues regarding the possibility of appearing of the True Cross in Halych in a wedding train of the second wife of Prince Roman Mstyslavovych, the author suggests staying of the relic in the church of St. Panteleimon during 1200–1213 with the pauses.
