Abstract

The article analyzes the first written mention of Magdeburg law in Halych along with the foundation of the local convent of the Minorities. The order of the Rus elder Otto from Pilitsa, sent in 1367 to the elder from Halych, emphasizes that the city was using German model of self-government. However, the document of the Rus royal governor requires detailed critical study and verification.
