In the catalog made by the contemporary Polish researcher Mgr. Ewa Kubica-Kabacińska, a brief architectural-archaeological description of the most important monuments of monumental architecture in Halych from the 12th to the 13th centuries is presented. The material proposed is part of the author’s master’s thesis, defended under the guidance of prof. dr. hab. Michał Parczewski in 1995 at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The cataloged material is divided into several main sections, determining the location, the presence of descriptive sources, archaeological research, preservation status, available plans, style and construction technique, proposed reconstructions, dating, functions, and the main bibliography of the monument.
The full version of the catalog, covering other early medieval monuments in Lesser Poland, Halychyna, and Volyn, was published in 1996 in the printed organ of the Rzeszоw Archaeological Center (Rzeszowski Ośrodek Archeologiczny). The text presented in the current edition only concerns the monuments of Halych. Therefore, the numbering of figures, as well as the sequence of objects, along with the bibliography and references, has been adapted to the current conditions of publication.
