The authors uncovered one of the least researched periods of Stanуslaviv‟s history, namely the threeweeks occupation of the Polish Grand Duchy of Warsaw‟s army (June 7–25, 1809), publishing archival documents of Stanуslaviv High School professor Alexander Chalbazany‟s complaint to Christian Wurmser, governor of the Galicia. A. Chalbazany accused attorney F. Mosziński for the organization of the Polish administration of the city, therefore in the state treason. As an Austrian patriot, before the capture of the city by the Polish legions of Napoleon Bonaparte, A. Chalbazany was able to convince to join the Austrian army a dozen his students as volunteers, armed them with his own expense; because of this, Poles robbed and plundered the professor‟s home in Stanуslaviv seven times. Finally, in 1811, A. Chalbazany filed a statement of retirement and moved to Černivci.
