The article is aimed at exploring the potential of regenerative tourism for the development of destinations in the face of global challenges. Climate change, biodiversity loss, overtourism, and degradation of natural resources threaten the sustainability of tourist destinations and require new approaches to preserve them. Regenerative tourism opens up opportunities for active restoration of ecosystems and support for local communities, which is a key factor in creating sustainable tourism models and harmonious development of destinations. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the ways and means of using regenerative tourism for the development of destinations in the context of modern challenges. The study used dialectical and abstract logical methods, methods of systematic approach, comparison, observation, analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, etc. The article outlines that the concept of regenerative tourism is based on the idea of creating a positive impact on destinations and promotes the active restoration and improvement of the natural and social environment during travel. Regenerative approaches allow tourism to become more meaningful and create new opportunities to improve destinations and reduce the social, economic and environmental impacts of tourism activities. It is proved that adherence to the principles of regenerative tourism involves not only minimizing the negative impact on the environment, but also active restoration of ecosystems, support for local communities, responsible use of resources, and the formation of knowledge for a conscious attitude towards the environment. The effectiveness of the regenerative tourism concept depends on systemic changes in the functioning and management of tourism and cooperation with all stakeholders. It is substantiated that in order to promote regenerative practices, close interaction between host communities and tourist activities is necessary, which contributes not only to the preservation of destinations but also to motivating tourists to make their own contribution to their improvement and restoration. The article considers the application of successful cases of regenerative practices in tourist destinations to preserve and restore the natural environment.
