EXPOSURE OF THE «OPPOSITION GROUP» AT THE STANISLAV STATE PEDAGOGICAL INSTITUTE

The article highlights the activities of the «opposition group», which was formed under the influence of the processes of controlled de-Stalinisation of the Soviet political system, decisions of the XX Congress of the CPSU among teachers of social and economic sciences (departments of Marxism-Leninism, Ukrainian language and literature, Russian language and literature) of the Stanislav Pedagogical Institute, who openly criticised not only Stalinism, but also certain flaws of the totalitarian regime. It is proved that in the political sphere of the USSR, the crisis affected both the ruling elite of the party and the government, and was reflected in the struggle for the redistribution of power and internal conflicts at the level of Soviet scholars in the region. On the example of individual teachers of the state higher educational institution I. Martynenko, B. Liakhovych, M. Donchenko and I. Kurylenko, the transformation of ideological views and, accordingly, their official and scientific careers is traced. It is proved that the higher educational institutions of the Ukrainian SSR were transformed into institutions for ideological service of the needs of the Soviet political system.
