The "Journal of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Biology" is academic, peer-reviewed periodical journal of Vasyl Stefanyk Сarpathian National University focused on the publication of original scientific research, surveys, and problem articles related to current issues in the fields of Biology.

The journal has been published since 2015 as part of the multidisciplinary Journal of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. During the period 2016–2019, the Biology series was not issued. From 2020 to 2023, the Biology series was resumed and appeared periodically within the journal. Since 2023, the Biology series has been re-established as an independent scholarly journal - "Journal of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Biology".

We review scientific articles for publication in the journal regularly throughout the year.

The editorial board of the journal carries out external and internal review of all articles submitted to it. The editorial board includes leading Ukrainian and foreign experts. The journal cooperates with the largest universities in Ukraine and abroad. The journal publishes scientific, theoretical and practical materials on topical general theoretical and sectoral issues.
The editorial board assigns DOI (digital object identifier) to articles.
The journal covers topical issues of biology in the following sections:

- Evolution & Tree of Life;

Accordingly, the journal "Journal of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. Biology" does not accept submissions from authors with Russian/Belarusian institutional affiliations, due to the dual-use nature of research in biology and the potential for its application in military and defense-related activities.

Authors may submit manuscripts for publication in the form of original research articles or comprehensive review papers.
