Abstract

The article highlights the relevance of early English language learning in preschool educational institutions of Ukraine within the framework of the international educational project «Bilingual Future. Preschool Education». The advantages and challenges of implementing a bilingual program aimed at developing preschoolers’ foreign language communicative competence are analyzed. The paper outlines the cooperation among the International Organization «Yellow House Education», the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Institute of Childhood, and the Non-Governmental Organization «Pro Dytynstvo» in the project’s implementation. The importance of bilingual education as an effective tool for developing children’s cognitive, linguistic, and sociocultural skills, as well as for preparing teachers to work in a multicultural environment, is underlined.
