This article explores innovative teaching technologies and their impact on the quality of education within the framework of the New Ukrainian School (NUS). The study analyzes the need to transform traditional teaching methods and implement a learner-centered approach aimed at developing key 21st-century skills. Innovative teaching is considered a specific form of organizing the educational process that enhances its effectiveness and adaptability to modern educational challenges.
The focus of the research is the didactic potential of the Wordwall cloud-based service. This service is presented as a multifunctional tool for designing interactive tasks, integrating gamification, visualization, and active engagement with educational content. The advantages and limitations of Wordwall are discussed, along with its practical application in various forms of classroom activities, including individual, group, game-based, and frontal work in computer science lessons.
To verify the hypothesis that innovative technologies improve the quality of educational outcomes, a pedagogical experiment was conducted in 6th-grade computer science classes at Kalush Lyceum No. 3. The lessons focused on the topic “Algorithms and Programs” and actively incorporated interactive exercises created using Wordwall.
The results demonstrated that in the experimental group, students’ knowledge levels and overall academic performance improved significantly. Specifically, the proportion of students achieving high and medium performance levels increased, while the number of students with low performance decreased. These findings indicate that innovative technologies are effective tools for enhancing students’ cognitive activity and for developing teachers’ professional competence.
