Abstract

The article analyzes the state of research on the development of media didactics in the late 20th - early 21st centuries in the works of Ukrainian scientists. The role and significance of media didactics in higher education is analyzed, in particular, the transition from traditional teaching methods to innovative approaches based on the use of modern media educational technologies is considered. The importance of the introduction of media education into the educational process for the formation of media literacy and the development of key media competencies of education seekers is highlighted. The article emphasizes the need for constant adaptation of educational practices to changes in the media environment and the active use of media resources to achieve the goals of education in the modern information society.
