Abstract

The article analyzes the current state of physical culture and sports in Ukraine, focusing on issues such as low levels of physical activity among the population, the inaccessibility of sports infrastructure for individuals with disabilities, and the high prevalence of doping. The key stages of implementing the Physical Culture and Sports Development Strategy until 2028 are examined, along with the impact of the national program «Healthy Ukraine» on promoting an active lifestyle. Particular attention is given to the role of physical education in the educational process, emphasizing its significance for the harmonious development of individuals and the formation of social skills. In light of contemporary challenges, particularly the full-scale war, the necessity of adapting physical education to new realities is substantiated, including the integration of digital technologies and mobile applications into the educational process of higher educational institutions.
