The representation of the author’s consciousness in L. Horlach’s verse novel «Mamai»

Abstract

Aim. The article deals with the analysis of the specificity of the author’s presence in literary works, in particular in genre of novel in verse. The aim of this study is to establish the forms of the realization of author’s consciousness in L. Horlach’s work «Mamai».

Methods. In the investigation there has been used biographical method to find the connection between image of an author in text with the personality of its creator. System and structure approach defined the forms of the author’s presence in verse novel.

Results. The article gives a detailed analysis of the representation of the author’s consciousness in L. Horlach’s verse novel «Mamai». The biographical author’s influence on the heroes’ outlook and beliefs is deepened thanks to the represented in text image of a poet, who is one of the narrators.

Scientific novelty. In the article for the first time there has been investigated L. Horlach’s novel in verse «Mamai» due to the peculiarities of the representation of author’s figure in it.

Pactical significance. The material of the article can be used for the further study of L. Horlach’s works as well as for the analysis of the author’s presence in literary fiction.
