LECTURER-TUTOR AS A SUBJECT OF DISTANCE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

Abstract

The article reveals the main tendencies of introduction of distance education in Ukraine. Much attention is paid to the functions of the teacher training system. The definition of distance education and lecturer-tutor has been given. The models of distance education, the types of functional activity of the teacher of the institution of traditional education and distance education have been defined. It is mentioned that there is a change of the functions of the tutor comparing to the functions of the lecturer, which significantly affect the scope and the content of their activities. The functions that are entrusted to the lecturer in the process of remote acquisition of knowledge, namely the coordination of the cognitive process, course adjustment, management of educational projects and more, have been singled out. It is noted that the lecturer-tutor manages the study groups of mutual support, helps students in their professional self-determination. The tutor encourages and promotes learning, creating conditions for equal partnership relations that ensure the effectiveness of the learning process, improve the quality of vocational education.
