Abstract

The article is devoted to highlighting the topical issue in forensic science regarding the permissibility and practical needs of using automation tools in the course of formation and operation of natural collections.
The organization of criminal procedure activities and the functioning of forensic institutions in the current conditions of the process of science integration are inseparably linked to the subsequent improvement of the quality of information support for scientific research and timely implementation of the latest achievements of scientific and technological progress in judicial and expert practice.
The task of organizing and efficiently searching for information in the face of a significant number of its sources in modern conditions cannot be solved without the use of computer technology. The creation of automated information retrieval systems is one of the main areas of implementation of computer technologies in investigative. This also applies to accounting activities for organizing the functioning of forensic reference collections, namely natural collections. Accounting activities are based on the use of modern achievements in the field of computer.
The article is devoted to certain aspects of the admissibility and practical necessity of using automation tools in the process of forming and functioning of natural collections.
It is indisputable that the rational organization of criminal-procedural activity, as well as the functioning of forensic expert institutions in the modern conditions of the process of differentiation and integration of science are inextricably linked with the subsequent improvement in the quality of information support for scientific research. and the timely introduction of the latest scientific achievements into judicial and expert practice.
