Analysis of the Correct Execution of the 'Athlete's Descent with the Extension of Rappel and Belay Ropes' Technical Maneuver in Sports Tourism Practice

Purpose: The goal is to determine a unified approach to assessing the correctness of performing the technical technique of “lowering an athlete with the extension of lowering and safety ropes” during an athlete's performance in individual competitions in mountain tourism competitions. This technique is new and has not been used in sports competitions before. Therefore, there is no description of the correctness of its execution by a single athlete in the regulatory documents. Materials and methods: search, comparative analysis, and generalization of theoretical and practical data contained in literary sources. Pedagogical observation of the athlete's performance at the competition distance. Generalization, systematization, and concretization of the data obtained. Results. An analysis was conducted of the correctness of execution and safety measures when performing this technical maneuver during an athlete's entry into solo mode. It was determined that existing regulatory documents do not include this option for performing this technical maneuver. Regulatory requirements only describe descent performed by a team. The paper considers the necessary algorithm of actions when performing this technique. An analysis of the correctness of its execution in terms of compliance with safety conditions was carried out. The approaches to the correct execution of the technical technique were synchronized with the approach described in the regulatory documents governing the execution of this technical technique in team work conditions. Conclusions. Approaches to the correct execution of this technical technique have been synchronized with the approach described in regulatory documents governing the execution of this technical technique in teamwork conditions. Further research directions in this area have been identified.
