Data Deposition Policy
The Newsletter of Precarpathian University. Physical culture supports the principles of Open Science and encourages transparency and reproducibility of research through responsible data sharing.
Authors are encouraged to deposit research data underlying the results of their publications in recognized open or disciplinary repositories.
Repository Selection
The journal:
- supports the use of international and national research data repositories listed in the re3data registry (https://www.re3data.org/);
- does not mandate a specific repository, allowing authors to choose disciplinary, institutional, or general-purpose repositories that comply with FAIR principles;
- recommends that deposited datasets be assigned persistent identifiers (e.g., DOI).
Data Availability Statement
Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript indicating:
- where the data are stored;
- how the data can be accessed;
- any applicable access conditions.
Active links to deposited datasets should be provided in the manuscript and/or metadata whenever possible.
Editorial Verification of Data
When necessary, the editorial board may request access to underlying research data during the peer-review or editorial process to verify the validity and integrity of the reported results.
Such requests are handled confidentially and in accordance with ethical standards.
Exceptions
The journal recognizes that in certain cases (legal, ethical, privacy-related, commercial, or security constraints) full public data sharing may not be possible.
In such cases, authors must clearly justify the limitations within the Data Availability Statement.
Institutional Repository
Upon request, the editorial board may recommend the use of the institutional research data repository of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University:
