The article substantiates the significance of sports and health-promoting activities incorporating elements of football in preserving and strengthening the health of primary school students. It highlights the relevance of organizing football training sessions and teaching football to primary school children within extracurricular activities, given their limited physical activity and sustained static load, which negatively affects their health.
It is emphasized that participation in football activities significantly improves the level of physical fitness of primary school students, enhances their performance capacity, and positively influences their physical development and somatic health. An effective factor in improving the psychophysical development of younger schoolchildren is the use by physical education teachers of specialized differentiated methods for teaching football game techniques, as well as innovative approaches developed by Ukrainian scholars in the field of physical education methodology.
