Abstract

Contribution of public and specialized libraries of the South of Ukraine into development of maritime education during the period 19th-beginning of 20th century was investigated and analyzed. Forms and methods of cultural and educational activities of the libraries in Mykolaiv, Odessa and Kherson are highlighted. Special attention is paid to the role of their heads in this process.
