THE DICHOTOMOUS NATURE OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION ON THE TERRITORY OF HALYCHYNA (THE FIRST HALF OF THE NINETEENTH CENTURY)

Abstract

The article considers the dichotomous nature of the development of education on the territory of Halychyna, which was determined by the historical events of the first half of the nineteenth century and influenced the progressive social and cultural development of the Western Ukrainian region. The influence of European ideology on the orientation of socio-cultural determinants, which was reflected in the objective differentiation of the educational process, is detailed.

The close connection between the historical fact of the increased influence of the pro-Austrian authorities on the deepening of the natural filling of knowledge, which was conditioned by the objective need for territorial distribution of Catholicism, close interethnic communication, establishment of trade relations, deepening of diplomatic relations between the states, reforming of education and cultural sphere in as a whole

The author's research focus is on reflection of the educational progress of Galicia through the prism of personal self-realization, the construction of close interaction of representatives of the domestic intelligentsia with the outside world.
