Abstract

The article presents a retrospective analysis of scientific works, which revealed integration ideas and summarized the main psychological and pedagogical principles of integration in education as an element of development, a condition of integrity, an organization process, a method of goal realization, and as well as a means of achieving an integrated result. It has been reasonably proven that integrated education is education based on the integration principle, which is implemented in accordance with content and activity integration. Education based on integration has a systemic nature and is the basis for formation of a holistic worldview and key and subject competencies in students.
