Abstract

The article analyzes the views of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi on the moral education of young people. The role of family and school institutions in the process of education and formation of young people is studied. The importance of fostering high ideals in young people based on Christian values is substantiated. The importance of one's own work on oneself is argued. An axiological parallel between Sheptytskyi and modernity is drawn. The relevance of the educational ideas of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytskyi for the present has been proven. The relevance of a comprehensive and diverse review and rethinking of his heritage is argued.
