Abstract

The article clarifies the essence of the main concepts of the study: "STEM-education", "STEM-technologies", "professional training of future primary school teachers". The paper also highlights the specifics of the professional activity of a modern primary school teacher, emphasizing that it is determined by the complexity of its integrated nature, and therefore especially requires the ability of the teacher to implement interdisciplinary links in the educational process. It is determined that the professional training of future primary school teachers in pedagogical institutions of higher education for the introduction of STEM-technologies should be carried out as a purposeful, systematic and organized process. The most important directions of this process are characterized, taking into account the current conditions of distance education.
