Abstract

The article analyzes the issues of researching the concept of “readiness for professional activity” in the context of various areas of professional activity and focuses on the security and defense sector of Ukraine, taking into account the specifics of the tasks performed by the units of the state's security forces in general and the National Guard of Ukraine in particular. The historical aspects of studying the essence of readiness for a certain type of professional activity and the role of the process of professional training in the formation of readiness for professional activity are considered. The author details the essential characteristics of the concept of readiness of future officers of the National Guard of Ukraine to perform combat missions as assigned and formulates the author's own definition of this definition.
